Use Cases

Aim & Blast is a 2D shooting gallery game built for quick reflex sessions. Players click or tap to shoot targets that spawn at random intervals and move across the screen before they escape. It is ideal for developers, students, and casual gamers who want a fast, aim-training arcade break with no downloads, no accounts, and no network requests.

Because Aim & Blast runs entirely in the browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and procedural Web Audio API sound effects, it works offline, protects privacy by keeping all state local, and loads instantly on mobile and desktop alike — with zero external assets to download.

How-To

  • Objective: Shoot as many targets as possible before they escape the screen. Targets spawn from random edges and move across the screen at increasing speed. Each hit earns points; missed targets count against you.
  • Desktop controls: Move your mouse to position the crosshair over the canvas and click to shoot. Press Space to fire at the current crosshair position.
  • Mobile controls: Tap on the canvas where you want to shoot. The crosshair follows your finger.
  • Rules: Targets that escape off-screen count as missed and play a miss sound. The game ends when you choose to stop; your score is the total points from hits.
  • Starting and restarting: Click Start Game to begin. After a session, the button becomes Retry to launch a new run. Use Reset to clear the current run without shooting.
  • Audio: Shot firing, target destruction, and miss penalties are generated procedurally via the Web Audio API. Click Mute to silence all sound.

Aim & Blast is a 100% client-side game built with Vanilla JS and the Canvas API. No server, no network, no uploads, and no external assets — play it anywhere, entirely offline.
