3. Copy or export
Click any color swatch or hex value to copy it to the clipboard. Use the developer export sections below the results to copy CSS Variables or a Tailwind Config block for your project.
Color harmony types
- Complementary: Colors opposite each other on the color wheel. High contrast, best for accents and calls to action.
- Triadic: Three colors evenly spaced around the color wheel. Vibrant and balanced, ideal for bold, playful designs.
- Analogous: Colors next to each other on the color wheel. Harmonious and soothing, great for backgrounds and gradients.
- Monochromatic: Variations in lightness and saturation of a single color. Clean, cohesive, and easy to scale across a design system.
All generation happens locally in your browser. Your color data never leaves your device.

Use Cases
Frontend developers use a Color Palette Generator to build cohesive design systems that keep every UI element aligned with a brand's visual identity. Whether you are drafting a landing page, theming a SaaS dashboard, or refining a dark-mode toggle, the right palette reduces guesswork and keeps contrast ratios accessible. Generate harmonious schemes from a single seed color, then apply them across buttons, cards, and typography without jumping between design tools and code.
Digital product teams rely on consistent color choices to speed up handoffs between designers and developers. Export hex, RGB, and HSL values directly into CSS variables or Tailwind configs so the implemented UI matches the mock exactly. Accessibility audits also benefit: test foreground and background combinations against WCAG guidelines before shipping, preventing costly rework and ensuring readability for every user, device, and viewing condition.
Marketing teams use palettes to keep campaign landing pages, email templates, and social graphics on brand. Freelancers generate client-approved color schemes quickly and present them with ready-to-use values. Agencies maintain brand consistency across multiple client projects by saving and reusing proven combinations. From personal portfolios to enterprise applications, a deliberate color strategy improves recognition, scannability, and perceived professionalism at every scale.
How-To
Start building your palette in four quick steps:
- Enter a base hex color, or click the randomizer to pick a starting hue that matches your mood.
- Choose a scheme type β monochromatic, analogous, complementary, or triadic β to generate related colors that work together.
- Adjust brightness, saturation, and contrast sliders until the set meets your visual and accessibility goals.
- Copy the exported hex, RGB, or HSL values into your stylesheet, design file, or component library.
- Test the final palette against real content, then save it for reuse across future pages and components.
A well-chosen palette strengthens brand recognition, improves scannability, and makes interfaces feel intentional. Use this tool early in the design process to establish visual rules that scale across pages, components, and future product updates. Consistent color also supports usability, helping users navigate your application with confidence and clarity.
